Seaside: Chocolate-Chocolate Cookie

INGREDIENTS (makes 1.5 dozen cookies)
1 cup All-purpose Flour
3/4 cup Cocoa Powder
3/4 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
10 Tbsp. Unsalted Butter at room temperature
3/4 cup Brown Sugar
2/3 cup Granulated Sugar
1 Large Eggs
2 tsp Vanilla Extract
2 cup Semisweet Chocolate Chips

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a medium bowl, sift together dry ingredients, A.P. Flour, cocoa powder, salt, baking powder and baking soda.Set aside
  2. In the stand mixer fitted with paddle attachment; cream butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar until very light, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add egg and vanilla extract, beat until well combined.
  4. With the mixer on low, add dry ingredients and beat until combined.
  5. Add semisweet chocolate chip and mix briefly to combine.
  6. Chill the dough at least 1 hour.
  7. Preheat oven to 325°F.
  8. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  9. Use 2 oz. scoop to portion the dough. Leave 1 inch between each cookie.
  10. Bake for 15-18 minutes
